SMT MACHINE OPERATOR / TECHNICIAN

Excellent employment opportunity for an individual with proven experience operating and maintaining automatic printed circuit board machines.

The preferred candidate will have experience with computerized Surface-Mount Pick-and-Place Machines. Performs various duties in the SMT department including set-up of SMT machine, operation of screening, AOI and Reflow equipment. Operate and monitor other automatic insertion machines including but not limited to an IC insertion, axial insertion, or wave solder machine. Acts as machine mechanic performing maintenance and repair on various assembly machines on a routine and emergency basis. Manages material and component requirements to feed the machine and performs inventory transactions accordingly. Monitor and improve yield levels.

This position requires an individual with the ability to multi-task and 2 years experience working with computerized SMT Pick-and-Place Machines in an electronics manufacturing environment. The ability to identify SMT components is required. Must be able to read and understand blueprints and schematics. Experience operating MyData and AOI equipment is a plus. Understanding of IPC standards is desirable. Occasional overtime may be required.
