RFL Electronics and Encore Networks Sign Strategic, Co-Branding Agreement

In response to customer demand for comprehensive next generation fiber network solutions, Encore Networks and RFL Electronics announced a strategic, co-branding agreement that will allow RFL to private label Encore's environmentally and electrical immunity hardened routers. RFL will install Encore's BANDIT 3™ ruggedized routers under the RFL name to fully compliment EXMUX® 3500 fiber installations of linear, star, ring and mesh network solutions supporting today's IP infrastructure with TCP/IP and legacy voice and data services.

RFL BANDIT 3™

The BANDIT 3™ (Broadband Access Network Device for Intelligent Termination™), the latest addition to RFL’s IP devices, is an industrially hardened cyber security appliance with integrated router, firewall, terminal server, serial to IP converter, legacy protocol conversion, and VPN functionality. Ideally suited for electric, gas, oil and water utilities, AMI/AMR, transportation, green energy, and traffic control system applications, the BANDIT 3™ ensures system data and SCADA network connections directly to the Internet, secure Wide Area Network (WAN) and/or Local Area Network (LAN), or commercial cellular data IP services.
