Ethernet Switches

RFL 3200 Series Unmanaged & Managed Ethernet Switches

Ethernet Switches

With the increase of Ethernet Communication ports on newer substation equipment, power utilities are turning to networking solutions for their substations using Industrial Ethernet equipment due to their high reliability and emphasis on standards.

The RFL 3200 UK-10 is a 10 Port unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch that is designed to operate in harsh environments such as those found in electric utility substations.

The RFL 3200 MK series are managed Gigabit Ethernet switches offered with various port counts and options such as IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol and Power over Ethernet.

These switches are designed to operate in harsh environments such as those found in electric utility substations. They are also designed to meet the same EMI immunity and environmental requirements as mission critical protective relaying devices in accordance with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards for communications and networking equipment in electric power utility substations. The reliability of these Ethernet switches exceed those of commercial devices by having no fans for cooling, utilizing high-temperature solid state components and incorporating the necessary transient and surge suppression circuitry required for substations and electrically harsh environments.
