ELECTROMECHANICAL DESIGNER

Under direction from R&D Engineering and Department Manager, develops mechanical products of various complexities through the use of computer-aided-design (CAD) system. Produces formal drawings and documents from sketches and/or verbal instructions. Enters mechanical layouts into Auto-CAD Lt or Turbo CAD for new products and changes to existing products. Enters schematics and ECB layouts into P-CAD or PADS. Enters pertinent information into the AS-400 in regards to Engineering Change Orders and Controlled Action Requests to maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) and drawing files.

Qualifications include mechanical drafting and ECB layout technical school certificate with courses related to electromechanical design. Two years experience in electromechanical design and layout. Must be skilled in AutoCAD and an ECB CAD package required. Turbo CAD, P-CAD and PADS preferred. This is a Northern N.J. office based position, candidates who do not meet these qualifications or require relocation will not be considered.
